The son, grandson and great-grandson of tailors, he grew up surrounded by fabrics, threads, patterns and sewing machines. Tailoring was always part of his life and imagination, sparking an early fascination with the many forms a simple piece of fabric can take.

Although he chose a professional path in technology, that connection to craftsmanship, materials and making never disappeared. Instead, it evolved, bringing together tradition and innovation and strengthening his interest in questioning how we produce, use and reuse the things around us.

At home, he grew up seeing fabric evolve through many different forms. A piece of clothing reaching the end of its original life did not necessarily mean the end of the material itself. Fabric could be transformed, repurposed and given a new function, reinforcing from an early age the idea that materials can have a life far beyond their original purpose.

Alongside this family connection to craftsmanship came a growing concern with the way we consume and the impact of our choices. The ambition is simple: to help leave the planet at least as well as we found it, by valuing what already exists and extending the life of materials and products.

It was from this combination of tradition, technology, creativity and responsibility that **O Roupeiro** was born.

Fabrics are only one example of this idea. Many other materials have the potential to take on different forms, functions and meanings over time. **O Roupeiro** seeks to explore that capacity for transformation, promoting products designed for longevity, materials valued beyond their original use, and a community built around a more thoughtful relationship with what we create, use and consume.
