A kung fu master in the magical arts of technology, at some point I realised that the clothes forgotten at the back of the wardrobe were, in essence, the same kind of problem: years-old code left untidied, waiting for someone patient enough to rework it — and, ultimately, a form of waste. That idea connected with an older one: community. The kind that existed when older brothers or sisters passed their clothes down to younger siblings, cousins or friends. A simple culture of sharing, rooted in common sense and practical wisdom. I started thinking about how that idea could be reimagined for a new world filled with gadgets. I combined it with a passion for sustainability, and O Roupeiro was born — proof that any obsession, when pointed in the right direction, can be turned into something good for the planet.
